Wisdom Teeth Removal
in Brownsville, TX
Comfortable, in-house extractions performed by our experienced team — no referrals to outside oral surgeons needed.

Expert Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Wisdom teeth — your third molars — often don't have enough room to erupt properly, causing crowding, infection, and pain. Our team evaluates wisdom teeth with panoramic X-rays and performs straightforward to moderately complex extractions right in our Brownsville office.
We use modern anesthetic techniques and offer sedation options to keep you comfortable throughout. Most patients are back to normal within a few days.

Pain in the Back of Your Mouth
Aching or pressure near your back molars is often the first sign that wisdom teeth are impacted or erupting incorrectly.
Infection or Swelling
Partially erupted wisdom teeth create pockets where bacteria thrive, leading to painful infections called pericoronitis.
Crowding or Shifting
Wisdom teeth can push adjacent teeth out of alignment, undoing years of orthodontic work and causing bite problems.
Cysts or Bone Damage
Impacted wisdom teeth can form cysts that damage surrounding bone and roots if left untreated.
Ages 17–25
Wisdom teeth are easiest to remove while roots are not fully formed. Earlier removal means faster healing and fewer complications.
Preventive Removal
Even without current symptoms, your dentist may recommend removal to prevent future problems — especially before orthodontic treatment.
What to Expect After Extraction
Rest & Ice
Bite gently on gauze for 30–45 minutes. Apply ice packs (20 min on/off) to reduce swelling. Take prescribed or OTC pain relief as directed.
Soft Foods & Gentle Rinsing
Stick to yogurt, smoothies, and mashed potatoes. Begin warm salt-water rinses after 24 hours. Avoid straws — suction can dislodge the blood clot.
Gradual Return to Normal
Most patients feel significantly better by day 4. Return to a normal diet gradually and resume normal activity as tolerated.
Follow-Up & Healing
Sockets continue to heal over several weeks. We'll schedule a follow-up to ensure you're healing well and answer any questions.
